In a circular economy, aluminium and steel are the star materials. Plastics degrade with every recycling cycle; metals can be recycled again and again without losing quality, which makes them essential for closing production loops.
More than 70% of aluminium cans are recycled into new packaging, well ahead of glass or plastics. Recycled aluminium also needs up to 95% less energy than primary production, cutting emissions and the need for new raw materials.
